Themgoroth

Themgoroth was formed in November 1991 by Piotr Dawid "Evil" (guitar), Marek Herman (drums), Miroslaw Dziadek (vocals) and Piotr Deckert - Firla (bass).
In August 1993 Sammach (keyboards) joined the group. Mirek left the band and his duties as a vocalist were taken by Evil. In August 1994 Themgoroth recorded its first promo consisting of 2 tracks: "Gate to the Unknown" and "Equilibrium".
One year later, in August 1995, the band recorded their first LP named "Gate to the Unknown" released by Sheer Records (CZ).
In July 1997 Magda Wodniak (flute) joined Themgoroth. Plans of recording the second album fell down with the tragic death of Piotr Deckert - Firla, who died in a motorbike accident in August 1997. In December Magda and Sammach left the group and so, after playing for several years, Themgoroth moved back to the start.
In October 1997 the band was joined by Darek Chmielowski (bass) followed by young, promising guitarist Dominik Gryzbon in 1998. Very soon Themgoroth's music was enriched by female vocals, performed by Sylwia Czapek.
Rehearsals and shows continued for a couple of months without keyboards, which back then were viewed as one of the band's fundaments. But the latter change wasn't permanent and in July 1998 the group was joined by Piotr Wojcik "Smrtan".
"Highway into Unknown" was recorded in September 1998 with these musicians. Year after its release the line-up changed once again though. Darek Chmielowski left and was replaced by Krzysiek Polok. Dominik's place was taken by Marek Lanc. At the end of 2002 Themgoroth ceased its activity but not for long.
In the begining of 2004 "Evil" starts to work on new material. Sammach(keyboards) rejoined the band. Kamil Jakubowski takes on the second guitar and the remaining members are bassist Adrian Swarowski and drummer Marcin Talar. This line-up eventually broke up after a few months of rehearsing and playing gigs. Unfortunately the songs created back then were never recorded.
Since June 2006 the band moves on once again, this time with, hopefully, permanent line-up which follows:
