Who says alcohol was not constructive? If a bunch of guys didn’t gather on Danny’s B-Day in the summer of 2004, the band New Disease wouldn’t have appeared in the spotlight. Enthusiastic and inspired by the Good Spirit of Alcohol, four boys decide to set out through the musical paths of the Bulgarian underground. They start with cover versions of Sepultura, Korn and Pro Pain, or at least they try to… But they manage the Sepultura mega hit Refuse Resist from the very beginning. Although vocal Sasho doesn’t dare to touch the microphone before he drinks at draught 200 g. vodka from a plastic tot. How decadent. At least in the beginning…Their first concert is in a metal pub, of course – the audience is formed by friends. The set list consists of 20 cover songs and one of their own. It was fun, they say; in the end the police came (A.C.A.B.!). This is the reality of BG metal music…Shortly after the “gig†their bass guitar player leaves them. What is more charming than female presence in the band, they decide! Due to impossibility to arrange who is going to have sex with the future female star, they leave the idea behind. Then New Disease meet the guitar player Emo – he seems to be stubborn, but they rip off two strings and urge him to start playing the bass guitar. The youngest among them, now the ex-guitarist is a pleasure to the eye of his female fans and pleases the ear of his colleagues. In the long run New Disease are:Sasho – vocalsIvan – guitarsDanny - drumsEmo – bass guitar… and in the present moment they are one of the heaviest BG underground bands – at least regarding to the gross weight of the members. The rest lies ahead…
