Eskimo Squad members are originally from Montserrat which is located in the
Caribbean 27 miles south west of Antigua. It wasdiscovered by Columbus
on his second voyage. It was calledMontserrat because of its mountainous
Regions, which reminded Columbus of the Catalonian mountains in Spain.
The island changed hands from the Spanish to the French but ended up in
the hands of the British, at the peak of slavery. The Mighty Arrow was the
most famous artist who embarked on the world wide acclamation with songs
loke HOT HOT HOT and Groove Master which were hits on the billboard charts.
Meanwhile Sir George Martin moved his Air Studios to the island bringing the likes
of the beetles, Sting, Dire Straits, Police, Stevie Wonder and much more over to
record bringing the highest quality of music to he quiet & serene shores of
Montserrat. In 1995 the Island had a Volcanic eruption, which destroyed
65% of the Island with the main city Plymouth. There was an emergency
Evacuation system put in place and 75% of the Island said goodbye and
went their own way. The Eskimo Squad arrived in Hackney where they
have begun a music and film journey that see them fulfilling there ultimate
