The official Adam's Angels website is: www.adamsangels.org - on that site, you can find all sorts of information about Adam, causes we've supported in the past, etc. Adam's Angels started back in 2001, right after 9/11... well, as soon as we were able to hold our grief together long enough to start something amazing.
We launched our myspace page on 1/18/2007 with the hopes of reaching out to old friends as well as a new audience of people. Hopefully, no matter where you are located, you'll be able to help in some way with some of the programs, events and initiatives we have going on.
About Adam's Angels: Adam's Angels is a completely volunteer- driven program that was started in memory of Adam David Rand a single firefighter (Squad 288 FDNY and Bellmore Volunteer Fire Department) who became an angel on September 11th.
Adam was a practical joker who loved children. Adam's Angels make positive things happen from the September 11th disaster.
The main focus of Adam's Angels is making a difference in the lives of children.
In addition, the program also supports "Americans who have been touched by tragedy since 9/11/01"- this includes our military, innocent victims of terror and various charities that we feel Adam would have supported.
We pride ourselves on the fact that we have been able to build a strong volunteer- based program without monetary donations or overhead expenses.
We hope you'll believe in what we do and share information about us with your friends. That's all it takes to make a difference--- word of mouth!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Brother-2-Brother, a brand new initiative created by Adam's Angels in partnership with the SSGT Chris Engeldrum FDNY Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #12033 & NYC Firefighter Brotherhood Foundation, Inc.The Brother-2-Brother initiative will provide support for those suffering from various illnesses because of the time they selflessly spent at the World Trade Center site & our heroic troops who are fighting the ongoing War on Terror to protect the freedoms we sometimes take for granted. Together, we will make sure that those who put others first are ALWAYS taken care of and that their sacrifices are NEVER forgotten.Adam’s Angels* Brother-2-Brother Partners:NYC Firefighter Brotherhood Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to the brotherhood of firefighting and the tradition that no man is left behind. Please visit: www.nycfirefighterfoundation.org for more information.SSGT Chris Engeldrum FDNY Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #12033 was started by veterans of the FDNY with SSGT Engeldrum as their memorial namesake. Please visit: www.fdnyvfw.com for more information.*Adam’s Angels have never and will never directly accept donations. However, we work tirelessly to help promote and raise funds for various causes that we believe in to help keep the memory of firefighter Adam D. Rand (FDNY Squad 288 & Bellmore Volunteer Fire Department) alive. Adam was killed on September 11, 2001 while saving others. Please visit our main website: www.adamsangels.org for more information."The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing." –Albert EinsteinThe Adam's Angels 3rd Annual Salute to Firefighters was a great success!!! We couldn't have done this without you- thank you so much for your support! You can view photos from September 25th at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/30888452@N04/sets/7215760752537 3034/ As you know, A Salute to Firefighters is a celebration of life. It is 100% volunteer driven. 100% of the money raised will go directly to the SSGT Chris Engeldrum FDNY Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund or the Thomas J. Elsasser Fund. We encourage you to visit: http://www.adamsangels.org/2008Event/charities2008.htm and learn about these great charities, what they do and how you can help them, as well. Some people have asked if they can still make a donation- the answer is yes. Please ask your friends to send a check made out to one of our three charities and send it to: Salute to Firefighters c/o Tony Lilli PO Box 266, Merrick, NY 11566.
