BIOGRAPHY:
Huh...it is a bit strange to write about the history of the noRegrets, those things that had happened to us in this last year and so... Let's now go back to summer of 2005, when it all somehow started. That was the time when Adry (guitar, vocals) got his first electric guitar, he used to play guitar even before, but just for fun... Now he started to write some cool riffs, and funny songs about girls in our neighbourhood. Than the possibility to have a band was first discussed... Later on Diego (bass, back vocals) had bought an electric guitar as well, and started to learn it. Now, if we can call it, band had 2 guitars, no bass guitar, no drums, and no band name :). The idea of the band started to grow and we all started to think about fame and that stuff, but there was one problem, we needed a drum player. The perfect victim for that was Ceke (drums) who wasn't too happy of the idea of spending a lot of money for something that he didn't believe in. Adry and Diego tried to convince him, but with no success... In summer 2006 Adry, Diego and Ceke started to play from house to house, with 2 guitars and a keyboard set to play drums :). Back then Mike (rhythm guitar, back vocals) started to like the idea about having a band. The 4 of us were always together, hanging out, looking for chicks, so we talked much about the band... Close to the end of the summer Mike bought an electric guitar as well, and Diego bought a bass guitar. The band was then named 'The Untitled' (not really original :))... We recorded a few songs, some of them about girls we'd met during the summer. During winter 2006 the first 'real' songs were made, and the band name was changed to 'The noRegrets'. At the time we were searching for the right place where we could practice in peace, this lasted for a while...until... Until Mike asked a friend of his if he could rent us his 'cottage' that he didn't use. We would like to thank a lot to our friend and fan Stepo for that!! 1 week after we had that practice-room, Ceke finally bought his drums! So the band now had a guitar, a bass and a drum player which, from the beginning, started to show his talent while playing the drums and inventing drum patterns for our songs, and all that with a unique style of his... Mike at the time wasn't a 'full' member of 'The noRegrets', learning and playing his guitar in the background... 'The noRegrets' songs, all written by Adry, showed a mixture between usual punk, pop and rock creating really cool songs, and with the 'little tricks' of Diego's on the bass guitar gave the song a final touch to all of that. The first live performance of 'The noRegrets' was held on June 11th 2007., in Monvi-center, thanks to our friend Marko that arranged this for us!! After that, on June 23rd we were invited at the UFO (Urban Fest Osijek) concert in Osijek, a month later we were playing at the Istra Rock Festival held in Labin, a few days later we were playing in Veli Lo--inj. It really was a busy summer for us hehehehe :)... We even played at Viva la Pola near the end of July. In August Mike joined the band as a 'full member' :) fulfilling in this way the songs which now sounded better live. In August 25th we were playing in Ljubljana with other 2 bands which was really cool, and an amazing experience. After that concert we thought that we had to do a concert here in Rovinj, so that our friends and other people could see us, and hear our songs. So we organized (with a little help) a concert with other 2 bands which was held on September 13th. The audience really liked us (we had a lot of good critics and comments :))... We even participated at many demo bands contests, such as MTV Adria's contest 'Catch the frequency' where we ended 4th out of 115 bands from Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Macedonia and Bosnia... We won the Netopolis contest so we were given a check of 2000kn to spend in a Music Shop... The biggest contest we'd won was the Demobands contest which gave us 10 hours of free recording in a studio in Zagreb. We plan to record 4 more songs which will be uploaded on the website...
