I/We am/are here to support and celebrate the individuality of Omaha's local music scene and it's rising/already established artists. This site promotes local shows from any genre representing it's hometown of the 402 as well as helps venues promote their shows if requested. This site promotes respect between individuals of all musical genres/affiliations and subcultures produced by such genres.
From my own personal experiences with people of different age groups, cities, genders, etc. I've noticed an almost underlaying need for others to EARN their respect before they treat others with respect. I'm not saying I've never been guilty or those of you reading this are guilty, but respect should be given to anyone upon first meeting them. It should not have to be earned. Treat everyone with the respect and dignity you would have for yourself.
And on that note:
Intolerance and bigotry will NOT be tolerated on this Myspace. Comment of an inflammatory or disrespectful nature will be removed immediately. There is no need to be rude to someone because they are different than you, there is no need to call someone name because they listen to a different style off music than you. AT LEAST THEY LISTEN TO MUSIC. Intolerance for people based off of such superficial reasons is immature. So I hope we can all grow up together!
Thank you SO much for being apart of this. I hope you'll take this opportunity to learn more about the bands in your scene as well as the other individuals that make up Omaha (and the greater 402 area).
If any bands would like thier fliers put up, just let me know and I'll stick them up here for you. Thanks everyone!
