Alan Moore and Chris In, two creative guys from south-western poland, have been in love with music for many years. Both of them were fascinated with productions of such artists like Aphex Twin, Autechre, Kraftwerk, Coil or Psychic TV. In 2003 they met each other and decided to mix their forces and to start working over their own style and sound. That was the beginning of the age of "Solar Kingdom".
Chris started his career as a musican in 1990. He was a guitarplayer in many bands such as for example "Suprise", which was one of the most famous jazz bands in Wroclaw. In 1996, chris sold his guitar and bought decks. Yes, he became a DJ!
He also promoted and made many gigs and yeah, he still loves making'em! He was the major promoter of "Space of Night", "Techno Energy", "Tresor Night" and biggest music festival in south-western Poland called "Miuzik of Love" (in 2003) and "Street Art Festiwal" (in 2004) also known as "W-Parade".
While Chris was taking care of making that events, Alan perfected his talent for producing music. In 2004 they performed at the best known electronic music event in the Czech Republic called "Summer of Love" where they became the biggest suprise one year later. Their amazing performance made them resident of that festival.
In December 2006 the first EP of "Solar Kingdom" was released on Unleash Records. The second EP called "It's for You Ep" was released in February 2007 and in april it was well rated, 5/5 stars in Japan, Germany, France and in the US.
Since march 2007, Alan and Chris have started broadcasting in the "Radio Luz 91.3". The broadcast's called "reaktor session".
Their music is a creative fusion of electro, minimal and inteligent electronics, which is always very welcomed by their fans.
For a long time, the track “Sunrise" from their 3rd EP was ranked a very nice place in best selling albums on "Juno Records"
At present the music of "Solar Kingdom" is played and mixed by DJ's from all over the world. In broadcasted radio sets SK is played by Roger Sanchez (USA), DJ Madou (NL), DJ Magic D (Russia), DJ Mike Lemon (UK), DJ Merlin Martin (USA) and DJ ICcc form France.
