Word and Mouth is establishing itself as a genuinely youth-run company, and currently negotiating new funding arrangements. Now is an exciting time of development and review - if we seem quieter at the moment rest assured we're working hard behind the scenes to make Word and Mouth and its activities/ events a long term success for Greater Shepparton young people!!!!!!

The Shine Multicultural Youth Festival is coordinated by youth-run organisation Word and Mouth, with funding from the Greater Shepparton City Council, the Sir Andrew and Lady Fairley Foundation, and Victorian Government's FReeZA initiative.
LAST YEAR: Word and Mouth's Shine Multicultural Youth Festival in 2008 took place at Victoria Lake, Shepparton on SATURDAY 23 FEBRUARY 12noon til 11.00pm.
Featured at the Shine Festival:-
- The Shine BAND BATTLE with 5 top GV bands vying for a generous recording package PLUS special guests DJ TOM TOM & ELF TRANZPORTER! These true hip hop pros are well received by audiences locally and internationally
- Acoustic performances throughout the day by talented young locals
- Free workshops in African Dance, African Drumming, Circus/Poi and Hip Hop Dance
