Hello, and thank you for visiting my page. My name is Aislin McDonald, and I am an independent author of spiritual non-fiction. My writing focuses on love, fearlessness, truth, insight, and spiritual liberation. Curious? Not yet, you say? Then I shall gladly try harder! Please read on…:-)
Five years following a powerful and life-altering spiritual experience in 1997, my husband and I came into contact with the first of forty-five spirit beings we regularly communicate with to this day. The messages and teachings offered by these entities - among them spirit guides, spirit animals, elements, and four angels - have had monumental impact on my existence: They have transformed me from a barely conscious observer of life into an awakening and aware human being who sees great beauty, hope, and the capacity for infinite love in everything and everyone.
Through dreams, meditations, astral travel, and use of the talking board (which was also very successfully used by the late Jane Roberts, and does not deserve its bad reputation), I have been shown how to let go of negativity, banish my greatest fears, lead a richer and more fulfilling existence on Earth, and aid the spiritual evolution of my soul, so that my life can perpetuate the ultimate higher purpose we all share - love.
Because of the amazing changes that have taken place within and around me over the past five years, I feel it is time to share my experiences, as well as the insights of my teachers in spirit, with the world. I have done so in my first book, titled Bending The Light, which is now available in both print and digital format.

The universe is love and light. We are One, you and I. Forever One, yet individual, utterly unique. I do not have to like your opinions, your outlook, your lifestyle, or your choices, but I can still love you for that which shines forth brightly from within, the spirit, the soul, the eternal you. Balance is the key to life. Where there is light, there, too, must be darkness. To experience humanity completely, you must feel both joy and shed some tears. Nothing is ever as bad as it seems. Opportunity disguises itself as obstacles. It is up to you to find the light, see the truth, carve a path, seek wisdom, and transcend the fetters of the lower self. The mind can be your greatest asset or your greatest foe. It is both enabler and jailor, life-giver and executioner. Train it, come to an agreement with it, teach it to function in harmony with body and spirit.
Give love, peace, light, joy, and laughter wherever and whenever you can. Be firm in your convictions, but never be unchangeable or stubborn. Never be static. Knowledge is around every corner, concealed beneath every rock, encrypted in the song of every bird. The cleric may be a liar, the beggar may be an angel, and it may well be the other way around. Therefore, close your heart to no one until you know the facts. Arrogance is self-defeating, but confidence is divine right. Love yourself, accept yourself. The veil between what is and what can be, what you see and what truly exists, is only as thin as a thought. Worry solves nothing. Look instead to today. It is all that matters. Love is always faster than hate. In the grand scheme of things, you are not your hand, your foot, your leg, or your hair. You are infinite, immortal, ever-lasting, a bright thread of conscious energy on its way to the source. You are beautiful. You are. You.
