Glen Gaffer

Glen Gaffer first heard techno when he was 10 when his sister brought him home a mix tape from The White Horse from that time he knew hard dance music would always be his first choice. Glenn started Dj’ing in 1999 at the age of 16 after attending many raves and deciding he want offer the scene something different. He started dj’ing hard house and a year later in 2000 while still at high school Glenn got a contract with Layered production playing under the name Glenn Cee after Dj’ing hard house for 2 years glen found that his style of music he was wanting to play was more techno as he was playing hard house producers like Nick Sentience, 12’ Thumpers and Tracid Trax. So he started experimenting listening to producers like D.A.V.E the drummer, Mauro Picotto, Chris Liberator to name a few and found that techno was the style that he was made for. In 2002 Glenn got the opportunity to play at Derick the Bandits Republic which was the break he needed from republic glen focused his style more to dark driving progressive and groovy techno and started playing guest slots at G.A.S.S he also got the opportunity to play on Derrick the Bandits world of dance on 5fm, he then went to be become a resident at G.A.S.S, after G.A.S.S glen played a few guest slots at Slippery n’ Wets at ESP/Nexus and other clubs around jo’burg. Glen carried on improving and perfecting his style of techno and started playing guest slots at Teknotribe and Psytrance parties around Jo’burg after a few years of playing guest slot Glen further perfect his style to more progressive driving techno and become a part of the leading techno movement Teknotribe.
