Hot Buttered Elves

About Me

The Hot Buttered Elves are an assortment of musicians from both coasts of the U.S. Many of them originally from the Philadelphia area, they now use the postal system to send tracks back and forth and collaborate. Their music has been described as "Christmas carols for the lo-fi set: catchy, clever, and a critical addition to any collection of lo-fi and punk Christmas recordings." (Spool Pigeon)

Since forming in 1993, the band (including over twenty members, in several different line-ups) has released eight albums on the Tapehiss Recordings label.
