Charles D. "chuck" Blackhurst, 44, of North Port, Fla., Passed away Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, agter a valiant battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and friends who loved him as he went peacefully into his next life. He was born in Flint, Mich., May 20, 1962. Chuck attended Kearsley Schools, graduated with the class of 1980. He moved to southwest Florida in 1991. In March 2002, He married Christine Katzenberger. Chuck was a avid sports fan, Especially when it comes to U of M football. He had a long, distinguished carrer playing organized softball in Michigan and Florida, His dream was to pass the desire on to Zachary is son. He was particularly passionate about fantasy football and lived it 24/7. Chuck owned and operated lawn maintenance/landscaping businesses, the latest being SunCoast Landscaping, LLC. Chuck loved to golf, travel, spend summers in MIchigan with the family. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, daughter, son, parents, sister and grand daughter Mia.
