Leviticus Cross #1 Sells Out!!! - Thursday, December 11, 2008Hays Entertainment's new series Leviticus Cross has sold out of the first issue at the distributor level. Copies are being rushed to meet demand. In addition, pre-orders for issue #2 have exceeded those of #1."Every retailer received a preview of all five issues," explains Leviticus Cross creator Seth Hays. "Having the entire series completed was something we wanted to guarantee the store owners and the fans. We're happy that our efforts are paying off and that the readers are enjoying the book."In addition to launching a website containing bonus content, Hays Entertainment also put a trailer on YouTube and built an eye catching MySpace page. "Marketing is key for us," says Hays. "It's tough in this business to get noticed. Now it's up to us to work Diamond Distributors to make sure retailers have plenty of copies to sell."Critics have praised Leviticus Cross: Ain't It Cool News says "This high concept fantasy project stands out from the rest due to its slick production and acute attention to every inch of the panel by the artist... All in all a satisfying jaunt into fantasy." The second issue will ship in January.

AICN Reviews Leviticus Cross Issue #1 - Wednesday, October 01, 2008"This high concept fantasy project stands out from the rest due to its slick production and acute attention to every inch of the panel by the artist. The characters look manga influenced, but the costume and creature designs rendered imaginatively by penciller Hector Sevilla are tops. I loved the variety of the creatures that not only fill out the cast of the book, but inhabit the background. Reading through this book was like the STAR WARS Cantina Scene where every inch of the place has character and you want to listen in on each and every conversation and interaction taking place. Giant lizards, interestingly garbed rogues, and all sorts of beasties populate this book. The story is pretty good as well: a revolution of sorts pitting the gods against the mortals who once worshipped them. All in all a satisfying jaunt into fantasy."

Diamond Comics September Staff Pick - Tuesday, September 02, 2008Being that this is my first Staff Pick, I thought I’d give a shout out to another newbie. Leviticus Cross is the first title from the upstarts at Hays Entertainment and man, what an introduction! Levitcus Cross has got it all — Thor, ogres, magical street urchins, dudes with swords, one-eyed girls in leather leotards, even a giant lizard sporting a howdah! How do ya’ top that? Well, the creative team that Seth Hays has put together is top-notch. Writer Jose Torres puts the fantastical back into fantasy. Leviticus Cross is as much a character as a setting; a city at the dawn of time where the super-heroic and the legendary stride hand-in-hand. Hector Sevilla’s pencils capture this hodge-podge of danger, daring and the downright awesome, and with the addition of color by Francisco Perez, they prove without a doubt that they are more than up to the job! Each page is a feast. Great splashes, frenetic action and one heck of a story. This first of five issues (each shipping with two variant covers) is a can’t-miss for fans of the heroic. It’s always great to get in at the get-go, and Levitcus Cross promises the ride of a lifetime!See PREVIEWS page 284.

Leviticus Cross debuts in Italy - Tuesday, June 03, 2008 Leviticus Cross, the acclaimed debut title from Hays Entertainment, has been secured for publication in Italy. Issue one will be presented at the Torino Comics Convention Friday June 13th and will feature two incentive covers for retailers."Paolo Accolti Gil of ITALYCOMICS got a hold of some of the initial interior art," explains Seth Hays, creator of Leviticus Cross. "He believed so much in the book that he made an unprecedented offer to publish it in Italy even before there was a US distribution deal."Hays hired many of the conceptual artists who worked on Star Wars Episode II and III to do designs for the project. Since that time, all five books in the series have been completed and are ready to ship when orders are placed. Issue one will be available in the US, Canada, and UK through Diamond Distributors and will be on shelves beginning September. Hays Entertainment has plans for more international deals and is in final negotiations with a major production company for film/tv rights."If all goes well you will shortly be seeing a lot more Leviticus Cross in all sorts of media," says Hays. "It's a thrill to finally be able to unleash Leviticus Cross on the public at large -- I think they're going to like what they see."For more information please visit www.leviticuscross.comFans can find their local retail store by calling the Comic Shop Locator Service toll free at 1-888-COMICBOOK (1-888-266- 4226) or online at http://csls.diamondcomics.com.
