Whiskey Girl

I'm a Kansas girl, born and raised, and some day I'll be back in the country. For now, I'm enjoying my life in Southern California - a place I can still hardly believe I'm living in! I'm still young and have a lot of living to do, and I'm not in any hurry to grow up. Still, life has taught me a lot of lessons - there is no room in my life for drama or the people who bring it.
I love to laugh. I love to read. I love music. I love to learn. I love the outdoors. I love my family and my friends who are family. And, most recently, I've fallen in love with yoga - Bikram yoga to be exact. I want to be a teacher someday.
My idea of heaven is a ranch house outside city limits with a little patch of land I can call my own. There'll be horses, and chickens, and a garden out back. I want to be able to saddle up a horse and ride all day - thru the mountains and woods, over streams, down trails, and towards the horizon.
I'm more of tom-boy than a girly-girl, but I still know how to rock a dress and a pair of heels. I'm the kind of girl who's comfortable in jeans & sneakers - the opposite of high-maintenance. Plus, I can kick your ass in a game of pool.
Currently, I'm pursuing modeling in my free time, but I'm the antithesis of a "model". I'm not stupid, I'm not promiscuous, I'm not stuck-up, and I don't have any desire to personify those attributes just because you think I should. Being in front of a camera doesn't detract from my honorable qualities & respectability.
I am not looking for a date, a "good time," or anything like that. If that's what you want from me, you might as well move on. This is not a dating site for me. My profile is to keep in touch with my friends, network, and meet new people... not for hooking up! This has become an issue lately and I want to squash it before it starts. Thanks for understanding.

A FEW THINGS ABOUT ME:

1. I'm always happy. Positive thoughts manifest positive energy!
2. I don't buy into bullshit, so save it for someone who does.
3. Music means a great deal to me, and I listen to almost everything. I can't stick to one genre because for me creativity knows no bounds.
4. I don't like head games, and I don't play them.
5. I believe beauty and goodness are in everything and everyone. Sometimes you just have to look harder to find it.
6. I'm very self-reliant and independent. I've always had to be.
7. I love to learn.
8. I'm an old soul, yet I'm young at heart.
9. I try to be kind to everyone I meet, and I tend to give others the benefit of the doubt all too often. This can be a downfall sometimes, because it leads me to get taken advantage of, but don't worry. I can take care of myself.
10. You will have my respect and trust, until you do something to lose them.
11. Laughter and love are the keys to life.
12. I'm allergic to drama. I avoid it and the people who bring it.
13. My new found love is yoga - it's made me so much more aware of my own spirit and energy and started me on a very important journey.
