I-Kushna

Omar Moore, otherwise known as I-Kushna, the third of five children, was born on December 22, 1979 at Spanish Town Hospital. He attended the Dempher Pen Infant School, McCauley's Primary School, then on to Spanish Town Junior High, graduating at the age of 17 years. Music was apart of I-kushna's life from an earlier stage as his father was involved in the music, and so too were his friends. His strongest influence overtime aside from his father came from his best friend Christopher Campbell, the world reknowned artiste otherwise known as Norris Man.
I-Kushna developed his lyrical strengths as a DJ (MC) for a sound system called "Rambo Mango". With this experience he developed his uncanny lyrical abilty as well as his confidence, which would later contribute to his career success. I-Kushna is considered to be courageous, extremely persistent, and alway setting goals and achieving them.
In the development stages of his career he took unto himself the name "Colour Terrible", but as time progressed he decided to choose a name with a deeper and more concious meaning. Hence the name "I-Kushna", which translates into 'I am black'. I-Kushna's lyrics are powerful, touching and politically charged. His strong clear voice maintains a special force which sets him apart from many other artistes in the world of Reggae music. His aim, to bring music to the highest level along with his beloved country Jamaica land we love.
