the two best things that can happen to a person are to be born in Spain and to be called DalÃ
About Me
My full name is Salvador Felipe Jacinto Dalà Domènech, Marquis of Pubol or Salvador Felip Jacint Dalà Domènech (May 11, 1904 – January 23, 1989),I was known popularly as Salvador DalÃ. I was a Spanish artist and one of the most important painters of the 20th century. I was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking, bizarre, and beautiful images in my surrealist work. My painterly skills are often attributed to the influence of Renaissance masters. My best known work, The Persistence of Memory, was completed in 1931. My artistic repertoire also included film, sculpture, and photography.
Widely considered to be greatly imaginative, I had an affinity for doing unusual things to draw attention to myself. This sometimes irked those who loved my art as much as it annoyed my critics, since my eccentric manner sometimes drew more public attention than my artwork!
