BIOGRAPHY
Mama Mayhem are a 4 piece rock band based in Glasgow, and are looking to fill a gap in the music scene by offering good hard honest rock and roll.
John Drummond & Stephen Lahbib first started working together on and off with each other during the Summer of 2005, and began writing and crafting their ideas recording on Drummond's home studio. Once all of the songs were completed and perfected, the rest of the band formed towards the end of 2006, with John Drummond’s cousin David Drummond joining on drums along with Michael Morris on bass guitar. The bands attitude and commitment instantly turned from part time to full time.
Since April 2007, after several months of rehearsals, the band began performing their well crafted collection of rock numbers to many venues around the country.
Last year the band completed their live debut EP, High Heels On Cobbled Streets, all of which was recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by the band, whilst featuring on national radio and receiving glowing press reviews.
The band have recently returned from their first mini USA tour of Los Angeles where they were invited by the legendary Whisky a Go Go to come over and play a show on Sunset Boulevard. As long as there has been a Los Angeles rock scene, there has been the Whisky A Go-Go. An anchor on the Sunset Strip since it's opening in 1964, the Whisky A Go-Go has played host to rock 'n' roll's most important bands, from the Doors, Janis Joplin, and Led Zeppelin to today's up and coming new artists. The band also performed at the Cat Club on Sunset sharing the same stage as Dizzy Reid from Guns N Roses. During the tour they had the pleasure of meeting Slash from Guns N Roses and Roger Daltrey of The Who.
This summer they have been invited to perform on a USA TV show for Fox 5 in New York called Fearless Music, where they will perform 4 or 5 live tracks which will be beamed to an estimated 20million households throughout the US and Brazil.
The band are about to record their debut album in the next few months.

REVIEWS

"Another exciting project from Scotland who have mastered sound and image with a great looking EP"
THE DAILY RECORD

Influences: "You feel enveloped by the bands raucous 70`s rock vibe, something sadly missing from todays music scene. A Zeppelin influence is sensed everywhere and that can only be construed as a complement to the Glasgow foursome"
NEW MUSIC POST

Sounds Like: "Mama Mayhem will melt your woofers and make you want to pray to the memory of Bon Scott. Making no apologies for their ferocious "classic rock" attack, this foursome are fantastic! This really is no prisoners rock and roll meant to be played at high volume and best experienced live".
