LauraBell is currently playing the role of "Elle Woods" in the Broadway musical Legally Blonde, which began previews at the Palace theater on April 3, 2007 and began officially on April 29, 2007.
She is also currently working towards the release of her debut country album titled "Longing for a Place Already Gone" that is to be released in June of 2007.
LauraBell most recently starred as Sherrie Christian in the musical Rock of Ages in Los Angeles. Her Broadway credits include the Tony award-winning Hairspray, in which she originated the role of "Amber Von Tussle", and Wicked, in which she played Glinda. As a child Laura originated the role of Tina Denmark in the off-Broadway musical Ruthless, for which she received Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk nominations for Outstanding Actress in a Musical. Other theater credits include Gypsy and The Sound of Music.
LauraBell's television credits include the role of Marah Lewis on Guiding Light from 1999-2001. Her other television credits include Cold Case, Veronica Mars and Strangers with Candy. Her film credits include Dreamgirls, Jumanji, Life with Mikey, and The Adventures of Huck Finn.
