...Just had to drop you a line to let you know
that I honestly & truly liked & enjoyed YOU guys at
Mojo's. I will tell you flat out that Jim, your
lead singer, truly adds a whole lot to the show in both
his presence, stage flair, & how he attacks everything
vocally. You had a great guitar sound as usual
& your playing was right on. Really good man & I mean
that. I don't pay compliments for the sake of paying
them as this email is taking me time to write & I
would not waste my time. I really mean it - you guys
were extremely good. Keep on keeping on!
Jim Price - Pa Musician Writes:
After some recent roster changes, My Turning Point is back
and rocking on regional stages. Their late May performance
at Electric Avenue in Houtzdale debuted the latest edition of
My Turning Point, featuring founding members Jim Bagrosky on vocals
and John Placer on drums, plus seasoned stage vets Chris Kane
on guitar and Paul Cavaliere on bass. My Turning Point played
a hard-rocking mixture of current, 80’s and 90’s rock, including
numbers from Seether, Velvet Revolver, Sponge, Nirvana,
Cracker, Ozzy Osbourne, Saliva, Buckcherry and more.
Their third set turned into a hard-rocking jam session, as
the Butcher Shop contingent of drummer Matt Twoey,
bassist Nate Socoski and guitarist Jim Force mixed in with
My Turning Point on numbers by Alice In Chains, Danzig,
Megadeth and more. Jim Bagrosky continues to progess as a
frontman, this night exuding confidence as he sang and barked
out his vocals and constantly worked the stage. The recent
additions of Paul and Chris give My Turning Point two seasoned
performers; they executed tightly alongside John’s steady
and powerful drumbeats. This group kept it fun, rocking but never
taking themselves too seriously. This updated edition of
My Turning Point is brewing up some new original songs,
and plans to record later this year.
