Thor Einar Ribe was born in Kristiansand, Norway in 1952. He started his career as a keyboard player, arranger, producer, and engineer in the early 70's. Did his first studio session in 1972, and has since then taken part in over 300 different MC, LP, CD, and music video productions in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.
As a live performer, he has worked with several Scandinavian artist such as Bjøro Håland, Tore Andersen, Arne Benoni, OJ Hanssen, Cato Sanden, Teddy Nelson, Ottar 'Bighand' Johansen, Arly Karlsen, Lillian Askeland, G. Thomas, Thomas Haglund, Mads Rådberg, and Roland Cedermark, to mention a few.
In addition to Scandinavian artists, he's been so fortunate as to be backup musician for several American artists on tour in Europe, like Bobby Bare, Connie Smith, Lynn Anderson, Deborah Allen, Charlie McCoy, Wanda Jackson, Norma Jean, Stella Parton (sister of Dolly), Dean Miller (son of Roger), Freddy Fender, Chely Wright, David and Allan Frizell (brothers of Lefty), George Hamilton IV, Weldon Myrick, Russ Hicks, and Susan McCann from Ireland, and Lucie Diamond from England, to mention some.
Nowadays, he travels around Norway and Denmark playing the keys for the upcoming, great country singer from Sandefjord, Hugo Risan, and also his good old friend from Mandal, Audun Njerve, who's been in the business since the mid 60's.
In addition to being on the road, he produces music in his own home studio. The songs you can listen to on this site, will be released on his new instrumental cd sometime during spring.
