AbSynth

in 2007 i had my some of my favorite collaborators write pieces for this project, for me (voice) and electronics. we performed it in september at the stone in downtown nyc. composers for that project were caleb burhans, nico muhly, kevin mcfarland, florent ghys, and yoav gal. nico's piece was performed again at the wordless music series, and is the title work on his new album mothertongue. currently i'm working on studio versions of the other finished pieces, and the second incarnation of this project. the second reincarnation will include a piece by andrew staniland.
