Tomas grew up in Culiacan located in the northwest of Mexico. At the age of seventeen he earned a Full tuition scholarship to attend the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy where he studied classical and jazz guitar. While at Interlochen, Tomas received scholarships from CalArts and Berklee College of Music.In 2008 Tomas completed his Bachelor Degree at Berklee College of Music where he graduated with honors.While at Berklee his versatility allowed him to work in a variety of musical fields. During his Senior year, Tomas was commissioned to write some arrangements for the Latin Grammy Achievement Awards 2007 in Las Vegas.Tomas has been recognized by the Mexican Government for his artistic achievements in which he has been commissioned to write for the latin music community.
