A middle child, Shaw was influenced by his older brother Whitty who used to play his music through one speaker ..without even a box to protect it.. laughs Skeptic. Young Paul moved to St. Catherine and spent his early years between Linstead and Portmore. However it wasn..t until he moved to Spanish Town, where he operated a record shop, that his path in life became clear to him. ..I sold vinyl and cassettes as the compact disc (C.D) weren..t around at the time. I also produced a few records for dancehall and reggae artistes such as General Trees and Gregory Peck to name a few... Skeptic could always be located at the K&D studio where his knowledge and experience was lent to a plethora of young artistes such as Cobra, Macka Diamond, Queen Paula, Jackie Chan and others who would later join the A-list of Dancehall and Reggae Stars. Seeking to connect even more with the music Skeptic started his own sound system Jameeks International that would rival such other great sounds as Stone Love and Metromedia among others. Based in Lakes Pen at Shandy Way Entertainment Center, Skeptic kept Dj clashes where other deejays from neighbouring communities like Lime Tree, Grange Lane and Dela Vega City could come and showcase their talents. ..I would always get forwards.. says Skeptic. At that point Skeptic decided to go professional as a Deejay. Currently Skeptic has one album ..All Di Time.. and three music videos under his belt. He has also been showcased at major stage shows such as the Hot Wheels Car show, Echo Minott Birthday Bash and Vybz Kartel Crowning where the audience gave good responses. .. I want to say big up to all those who gave support especially Niko from Little house records, Delroy Thompson from Juice T.V, Video Vibes Channel 50 Jacs T.v, Channel 84 Genie T.V. Reggae Entertainment Television (R.E. Tv), Hype Television and Urban Television. Also thanks to Christine Bishop, My children little Meek, Shameeka, Chrissy Banton, J.J and Tiiyashia, love for life... Skeptic leaves an inspirational message for all his fans and young people that would aim to follow his footsteps ..Don..t ever say you can..t until you have tried words from the wise, old time people say nothing beat a trial but a failure, so don..t try to fail in life, love god and live hate him and you will never prosper, nuff respect...
