'Sevem Mi Lord' means 'Save Me Lord', an expression that characterises our desire to praise the One who saves us. Sevem Mi Lord came together in December 2006 to lead both young and old in the praising of our Almighty God.
The band enjoys a guitar-driven rock sound, playing big anthems of praise as well as quiet worship songs, all with the hope of encouraging people into a deeper relationship with our God.
Since their beginnings the band has played at dozens of churches and youth groups from Bathurst to Wollongong, Sydney to Goulburn, Penrith to Gosford, and even as far as South Australia. The band has also played at a number of festivals including Silos Festival 07 and the Big Exo Day 2007 where they enjoyed success as winners of the Debut Stage. Recently the band played at the Hillsong Convention Centre for Youth Alive’s Groundswell Event, Hillsong Conference 2008, Anglicare – City To Surf, World Youth Day, Big Exo Day 2008, Blackstump Music Festival, South Australia’s Silo’s Music Festival and are looking forward to many upcoming gigs throughout NSW and QLD before the end of 2008.
The group began by writing songs as well as covering popular praise and worship favourites and it wasn’t long before they were given the great privilege of leading churches and youth groups in the praise of our God.
Sevem Mi Lord has recently released their debut album ‘To The King’ on August 1st 2008 which they hope will assist God’s people in uniting in a song of praise to Him. Sevem Mi lord makes music to see God’s Kingdom enlarge through the spreading of the gospel with songs that sing of Salvation and God’s grace.
