With an impressive list of accomplishments in dance, theatre, modelling, acting and singing already to her credit, it would be easy to mistake 16-year old Katrina Risteska for a seasoned industry veteran.
From the time she learnt to walk, Katrina has been holding a microphone. Using the coffee table as her stage, Katrina started entertaining family and friends with an energy and enthusiasm beyond her tender years. Katrina’s unwavering talent and passion were realised quickly and she was promptly whisked to performing arts schools to further hone her skills.
From the age of 5, Katrina began performing in various clubs and shopping centres all over Sydney, Melbourne and Queensland in an assortment of variety shows – showcasing her vocal and dance abilities in addition to her infectious personality.
This, in turn, led to substantial roles in musical theatre productions such as Annie, Oliver and Nancy Hayes production of The Wizard Of Oz at the Lyric Theatre.
Katrina is also recognisable from her many TV appearances which includes the Sultana Bran ‘Heard It Through The Grapevine’ commercials, the Optus ‘We Are The Future’ campaign and as a featured dancer in many music videos.
Lately, Katrina has been writing and recording her own music, soon to come.... taking inspiration from such talents as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Jo Jo, Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Mariah Carey and Beyonce - to name but a few.
Katrina is a passionate, ambitious performer that has her sights set on becoming an international-level recording artist and entertainer…12 years of intense dance training coupled with continued vocal coaching and an intuitive, dedicated and spirited natural ability paves the path for her continued success…no question - you will be seeing a lot more of this kid.
