social researcher, dj, cultural critic -- i research and write about new media, communication technology, and youth and popular culture, as a graduate student in cultural anthropology. i divide my life between socal and the bay area, and spend my little free time sewing and going out. i've also been DJing on and off since 2001, in the goth/industrial scene, and most recently have been spinning a mix of idm, breakcore, and powernoise, with a bit of dubstep and electro thrown in.
