Evollusion

Evollusion is the progeny of Josh DeShazo and Phil Willmarth. Formed in January 2006, Evollusion has a history of members and names. The original band formed in 2005 under the name of Composed, consisted of Drummer Michael Downing, Bassist Dallas Urwin, and Guitarist Philip Willmarth. This line up had played in a jazz group called 'The Sofa Kings' since late 2004. After realizing the chemistry between them, 'The Sofa Kings' formed an out of school rock group called Han Shot First. With lack of material, the group formed a side project called Stryker Crane, which was a funk/blues group. In January of 2006, Josh Deshazo joined the group which brought another guitarist and vocals which were desperately needed. After problems with the drummer Mike, the band thought it was best to find a replacement drummer. That's when Jake McCaffery joined the band in early May, which merged Composed and Negative Infinity(Josh and Jake) into a "super group." After months of deliberation, the name Evollusion was thought up by Josh DeShazo, meaning the Illusion that man is still Evolving. In December of 2006, after the members all left Tacoma Washington for different colleges, the band went on hiatus. In early 2007, Josh, Dallas and Jake formed a new group called Elmhurst, which Jake later quit both. Due to lack of interest, Dallas also quit both. Evollusion is survived by Josh and Phil. Good friend Daniel Forbrich joins to record bass.
