STATEMENT

STATEMENT started way back in the early 1980's by Rat. STATEMENT has always been a one man project, with Rat playing all instruments. There have however, on occasions, been guest appearances. STATEMENT started with a 4 track recorder. A few songs were recorded, purely for fun, but all of a sudden there were a "demo"s worth. So, a cassette demo was released. More songs were recorded, and more demos released, about 10 in total. During this time a split 7" and a split LP was released with THE APOSTLES, both on Active Sounds Records, Rats own label.Then came the 90's. Rat got friendly with Sean from VEGAN REICH, and after much discusion, a 7" was released on Seans Hardline Records, PREPARE FOR BATTLE. A second 7" was also to be realeased on Hardline Records, the VEGAN INQUISITION. This later appeared on the GENOCIDAL JUSTICE CD released by Green Fight from France. This release saw STATEMENT become more known in the Vegan Straight-Edge circles (even tho Rat never claimed to be Staright-edge, tho, many would have classed him as such.) and many new friendships were forged. Maurizio, of the Italian VSXE band PURIFICATION became one good freind ,and a resulting split 7" on maurizios label Surrounded Records, with American band DIM MAK was released. This record did include two guest appearences on vocals. Two other songs were recorded at this session, one of which appeared on the Animal Truth compilation cd on Hans' Sober Mind records in Belgium.Another freindship started, this time with Erik from America, of which the last song from the Surrounded session, appeared on a 3 way split 7" with TEARS OF GAIA and EXTINGUISH...This profile was edited with MySpace Profile Editor MySpace Profile Editor
