Acoustic Music for the Soul. That's what we've been told. We play original's that will move your feet and your soul and throw in a few cover songs with a positive message that get's your groove going. We're availiable for Acoustic-Percussion solo's or get the whole jar of "PeachJam" with drums, flute, and bass. We play clubs, resturants, and special venues as well as weddings. Lot's of dancing is encouraged!!!!!Jacqueline "Peaches" Wheatley lead singer, songwriter,and musician from the Mountains of N.E.Ga. was born into a musical family. My Dad, Gene Hulsey, played in a Country Western Band when I was a child. I would sleep in his bass case backstage after dancing to the music for as long as I could. Meeting some of the great up and coming artist like Loretta Lynn, George Jones, and Conway Twitty who all went on to become legends. My grandparents performed gospel songs on the local radio station back in the 40's and 50's. That was my inspiration to want to learn to play an instrument. So my daddy gave me my first guitar at 12 years old, a 62' Gibson which I still have in my possession. I didn't truly embrace the singing and songwriting back in those days when I was younger. Life's journey's with all it's ups and downs and 2 children, that I love, have let me back around to my roots. The songs that I write are life songs I guess you'd say, not just about my life's trial's and tribulations, but because we all have experienced similar differences at one time or another in our lives as we evolve and change, within and without. There is a message of hope, happiness and even laughter as well as a wish for peace, love, healing and harmony towards each other as well as Mother Earth. They come from the heart and soul. If I can touch a person's spirit and soul and bring love and light into their life with my music then it's doing what it's supposed to. Music is a universal language that touches everyone in one way or another. Open the window of your heart and let your light shine thru, the happiness that you share with others will come back to you.Second ingredient to this delicious mix is David Paul, a talented percussionist and an amazing drummer on the kit. Keeping our rhythm in many wonderful ways. He's originally from Chicago,Ill.and the suburbs of Atl,Ga. He's the former owner of "Atlanta Drums and Percussion" and when he chose to leave the city life behind and move to the mountains he opened a smaller store called "The Beaten Path" in Clarkesville,Ga. that no longer exists now because "they tore down the drum store and put up a parking lot". He was a man before his time up in this region. He's played in bands like "Georgia's Own" and "Alter Ego" who opened for Mother's Finest,Dixie Dregs and Don Williams just to name a few. Now semi-retired and living in Cornelia,Ga. He's come back out of retirement to join up with us. He adds his own unique style and rhythm and even a little backup vocals to "PeachJam". We are Blessed to have him with us!The next ingredient is Phil Labbate who plays jammin bass for the group. He's from New York originally but most of his years growing up were spent in Calif. He and his beautiful wife Monicita now reside in the Atlanta area. He's toured with many bands himself and has performed on many big stages and before large crowds. He is a driving force behind the band with his creative style and his thumping beat, that he has worked so tirelessly on since becoming a member. He also helps with the sound and recording part of our group, but he'd rather just be the Bass player.And our final sweet ingredient is Drew "Valentine" Motes on Flute and the youngest member of our band, resides in Woodstock,Ga. a local from Canton,Ga. himself. He's the eye candy part of the group. He's a wonderfully talented young man on the wind instruments and backup vocals. We're working on harmonica's too so that it adds just the right flavor to the mix. SHAKE WELL AND YOU HAVE "PEACHJAM'!!We have a unique sound that hopefully folks will feel the good vibe that we send out when we perform. The band has a natural flow that spreads thru the crowd like sweet aroma therapy of good thoughts and positive energy. Enjoy!!
