My name is ponkey, I am the last of my kind and I fear that once i am gone there shall be no more ponkeys. :*(
I was born and raised in a grey cave where some giants kept very thinly sliced trees in large stacks, occasionally they would move them around a bit. I never understood why.
Two of the giants spent a lot of time in the cave and were very nice people who were always laughing and dancing, they were good to me and alway included me in their day to day routine, They charged me with guarding their work while they were away, A role I was proud to do, I would stand there glowering menicingly at the other giants (who weren't so nice) when they would come into the cave.
The other giants were mean to me and treated me like an object and woould often try and kill me, but luckily the 2 nice giants always came to my rescue
One day, one of the nice giants had to leave the cave because he wanted to see what happened outside the cave. I was very sad. The other giant asked me If I would like to go too, I was really excited because, while i was still sad to leave the other giant in the cave, I was going to see the world outside the cave too!
I was put into a bag with some monkeys (who I have since become very good friends with) and taken out of the cave, past the nasty giants and given to the Giant who was leaving. he was very happy to have me accompany him on his trip into the big outsideness
Now I live ontop of a plastic mountain, in a nice world where the nice giant lives with some other nice giants. The monkeys and I are made very comfortable(I do like the monkeys, they're sooo chatty! we get on so well, sometimes I wonder if we're not that far apart on the evolutionary tree.) I am very happy there but I do sometimes miss the cave and wonder if I'll ever see it again.
