About Me

Let's see...newsboy, former deejay (that's RADIO), actor, wedding singer, musician, artist, reader, thinker, lover, tourist, traveler, mover & shaker. I cook, I clean, I iron my own shirts.
In the Hometown section I wrote "several." Some days I feel like a man without a country! But, more often than not, I see the glass as half full and say I'm fortunate to have called so many places home. Gallatin, TN...Waynesboro, VA...Stuarts Draft, VA...Knoxville, TN...Charlotte, NC...Silver Spring, MD...Washington, DC...Chattanooga, TN. And the list keeps growing.

The Everything Test

There are many different types of tests on the internet today. Personality tests, purity tests, stereotype tests, political tests. But now, there is one test to rule them all.
Traditionally, online tests would ask certain questions about your musical tastes or clothing for a stereotype, your experiences for a purity test, or deep questions for a personality test. We're turning that upside down - all the questions affect all the results, and we've got some innovative results too! Enjoy :-)
Personality
You are more logical than emotional, more concerned about others than concerned about self, more atheist than religious, more loner than dependent, more lazy than workaholic, more rebel than traditional, more artistic mind than engineering mind, more cynical than idealist, more leader than follower, and more extroverted than introverted.
As for specific personality traits, you are artistic (90%), intellectual (73%), romantic (71%), musical (67%).
Stereotypes
Old Geezer 83%
Punk Rock 73%
Prep 62%
Life Experience
Sex 23%
Substances 16%
Travel 32%

Politics
Your political views would best be described as Conservative, whom you agree with around 74% of the time. Socioeconomic
Your attitude toward life best associates you with Middle Class. You make more than 0% of those who have taken this test, and 13% more than the U.S. average.
If your life was a movie, it would be rated PG-13.
By the way, your hottness rank is 55%, hotter than 79% of other test takers.

My Interests

Pretty cool day job which is actually a night job.
I'm an actor in my other life. Always looking for the next great audition to schedule my life and my job around. And, call me a crooner. I do enjoy singing the old standards and swing tunes with "Sweet Georgia Sound." ...oh, then there's the whole crime fighter thing. But, it involves a mask, a cape and a fast car. You probably don't want me to go into it.

I'd like to meet:

Everyone! Life is short.

Music:

Ahhhh, music! Sweet nectar of life. So many...I love the standards: Sinatra, Cole, Torme, Martin, Sammy Davis, Ella, Rosemary, Diana Krall, Harry Connick, Jr. I love showtunes, too...no, I'm not afraid to admit I love showtunes. Classical, lots...too many to list, in fact. Allison Krauss and Union Station: great. Shelby Lynne, Norah Jones, Dido, Lovely ladies. Fabulous music. That's a good start....more to come.

Movies:

I work, too much, and don't make it to the movies as often as I'd like. But, there are a few that make me stop, no matter the hour, if I flip past them on television. One is an old black & white film from 1957 with a young Andy Griffith and Patricia Neal, "A Face in the Crowd." Elia Kazan directs. A fabulous character study. Check it out, if you haven't seen it! Others? "Gone with the Wind", "The Crucible", any of those old, b&w Tennessee Williams adaptations. "Cool Hand Luke", "Sergeant York", "The Philadelphia Story" and "High Society" "Ocean's Eleven"..the original. Once again...a good start, enough for now.

Television:

Oh, I was raised on The Tube. Johnny Carson, miss him. The Dean Martin Roasts, that was some great TV. Speaking of, Bob Barker ended 35 years of The Price is Right last June. I'm 36. Current stuff...well, I was a huge fan of The West Wing. Alas, it was taken away. The Simpsons and Family Guy on the animated side. I work nights, so I haven't gotten into any shows, lately.

Books:

Just finished, "This Just In: What I Couldn't Tell You on TV," by Bob Sheiffer. What a great collection of behind-the-scenes stories from a newsman of some 30+ years.

Heroes:

The REAL Miss America

Thoughts on a passing.

I know, it's been over a week since Pavarotti was laid to rest, but I just had to share.  Besides, as the years go by, my stories seem to wander and merge a bit.  And this is a good one...
