MIKE SARKUS (Kapa Music). Ive often been referred to as one of Long Islands best kept secrets (hopefully not for too much longer). I spent my early career cutting my teeth in many of L.I.'s most popular hot spots since the tender age of 17,places like 007, Heffrons and Industry. Soon after that I found himself working all over the Tri-State area tearing up many of the areas most popular events. It was around this time that "Bang the Party" was really taking off in Fort Greene Brooklyn. DJ E-man took a liking to my sound and made me a regular in the BTP rotation. I also played a weekly event at Glass,NYC for several years and still play many events there today. I have also spun many guest spots at Brooklyn's and NYC's finest events such as the Clubhouse Jamboree in Prospect Park. I had the pleasure of working alongside Paul Simpson on a remix project for Vinylmania records with the dance classic Love Honey, Love Heartache. Currently I am working with Kapa music based out of LA remixing and producing tracks for the label. Two of the recent remixes for the label were "Far From This Place" and "Lets Go Deep" by Martin East Project. Recently I just finished an ep along with E-Man called The Single Malt Syndicate EP (out now). I played the WLIR Saturday Night dance party for many years on the radio here in NY. Not to mention I still spin every Sunday night on Party 105.3fm and 101.5fm on my radio show called "Bridging the Gap" here in New York from 11 to midnight which consists of both new and classic deep and soulful dance music. It can also be streamed on www.party105.com
