To create something, an image, an object, is like an addiction for me. It is something I am constantly thinking about. Everyday life is a constant source of inspiration and my works form an exploration into my personal associations with people, places and events. To put pen to paper and commit these ideas is satisfying.People are drawn to things that they are familiar with and I hope that people find the familiar in my work. I am also interested in how individuals interpret random images and symbols to create a dialogue through their own experiences. Your own pre conceived notions or experience can influence the meaning of a collection of images. I hope people can find their own stories in my works.The history and tradition of ceramic wares is a long and rich one.
