Dear Ossining-ites,
I’ve decided to take action in the fight against cancer by participating in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life right here in my community. Relay For Life ® is an overnight event designed to spread awareness of cancer prevention, treatments and cures, celebrate survivorship, pay tribute to the lives we've lost to the disease, and raise money to help fight it.
Because cancer has affected us all in one way or another, I have decided to participate in Relay For Life of Ossining on FRI. JUNE 20 and SAT. JUNE 21 at Cedar Lane Park in Ossining, NY from 7pm-7am. I am asking you to support me in this effort by making a donation to the American Cancer Society. As captain of team “MOORE LOVEâ€, I will be dedicating my walk to my in-laws and cancer survivors Bobbie and George Moore, and in memory of my beloved grandfather, Cornelius “Bill†Love who passed away from pancreatic cancer last year as well as many other family members. My husband, George Moore, Jr. is our team’s co-captain.
