Change is coming. No three words in the English language provoke such hope, and fear all at the same time. While we are hopeful that the change will make a good thing great, we are also fearful that it may make a great thing, well not so great. Those that know us well know the passion we have for Rockstock. We never really thought it would turn out to be such a big deal, we still today have to pinch ourselves just to make sure it’s real. Every year Cory and I get together and we try and decide what is best for Rockstock. What will make this year bigger, more successful than the last? We agenize over this question for months on end, sleepless at times. It’s hard to say but after we talked, and talked, and talked some more we have really decided to cut back (if not get rid of altogether) the amount of metal music in Rockstock. This was not an easy decision but times change; so to must Rockstock. Over the years Rockstock has become known as a metal concert, and that’s not what it is or what it was meant to be. Rockstock was designed to be a music festival, for all types of rock music not just metal. Due to the fact that most people see Rockstock as a metal show we all but have to start over to recreate its image. That is why on Jan. 20, 2009 we will launch the new Rockstock myspace. We are at a crossroads both with Rockstock and personally, all we know for sure right now is that Rockstock will carry on!
Thank you,
