About Me

Mobtown made its first official Ska debut Feb. 29, 1992 at Fenders Ballroom in Long Beach, California. The band was so excited to perform at their 1st real show they arrived at the club around 11am...some 8 hours before sound check. The night was to showcase some of LA's top local acts at the time, The Skandals, Lucky 7 and The Specs. What a night it was.Since then Mobtown put out 2 full length CDs, "The Rhythm of Ska" on Steady Beat Recordings, and "Cactus Juice" on Moon Ska Records. The band has also contributed to a number of Ska compilations around the world. When the group was in full force they had the honor of sharing the stage with some of Ska and Reggae's most talented performers. The memories and friends the band made will never be forgotten. It was a pleasure to be part of this great Ska community.Peace, Love and Ska forever!!!
