About Me

I operate Critter Camp Exotic Pet Sanctuary located in northwest IL - check out the site www.crittercamp.biz We care for over 200 abandoned, abused, neglected and otherwise homeless exotic and unusual pets of 30 different species! Everything from rabbits to ferrets to lizards, hedgehogs, mice, rats, sugar gliders, a fennec fox, and arctic marble fox and a kinkajou, and lots more! Critter Camp is a registered 501c3 non-profit, charitable organization with over a dozen volunteers. We are a 100% no-kill facility! We do hands-on educational entertaining tours of our sanctuary in exchange for donations to help support the critters. We are currently raising funds to pay our vet bills - please consider donating to help these animals that have found a safe happy haven here at Critter Camp! We are also planning to build a GREEN sanctuary building in the near future! It will use passive and active solar and wind power, as well as composting and other environmentally friendly practices! I also get to escape with my boyfriend Brian on his Harley and at his farm where we care for his mini horses, donkeys, goats and chickens, as well as the kitties and Harley, his dog. Over the summer Brian is adopted by orphaned raccoons! His first, Ricky Raccoon now comes and goes as she pleases, mostly coming home to find grapes and bananas set out for her, and beg for potato chips! We are trying to find time to do our spray paint art again too! Brian also built a veteran’s monument park in German Valley that is almost complete, it is beautiful! And I am webmistress for his German Valley Case Owners Association Tractor club too!
