Though I was born near New Orleans, LA, I have spent most of my life in Brentwood, MD. I was raised there, went to school there and now teach 2nd grade there. I have 2 siblings:, one brother (in MD) and one sister (in NY). My mother passed away from breast cancer and my father now lives in MI. I still have family in N.O. in spite of Katrina, and a grandmother in KY. I am what my family calls "the glue". Family is very important to me and I do what I can to make sure we all stay in touch dispite being scattered to the wind...
