,, ,Hi everybody! How are ya?!..Nothin' complicated here. Just an old hippie tryin' to...no,no,no, let me re-phrase that...Just an aging hippie workin' at stayin' alive up here on my mountain in southern West "by god" Virginia. I'm doin' the heritage thing by being the 4th generation workin' the old homestead. I'm re-building/re-modeling the house my grandpa built about 85 years ago, buildin' fence for the cattle and horses I plan on gettin' soon, workin' on the cow path I call a road, cleanin' up the fields that have grown up so badly over the years and just all around bein' a farmer. I live alone with a 4 year old golden retriever named "Mojo Buddy Weiser". Mojo lives to chase a tennis ball and the occasional rabbit that happens to scamper into his field of vision and he has sired some of the cutest golden puppies I've ever seen.UPDATE:'06 Mojo died in July of 2006 and I haven't been able to bring myself to get another dog just yet. Some day, but not right now.UPDATE:'09 I did get another dog recently. His name is Roux(pronounced roo)& he's an Australian Shepperd. I moved back up here in Jan. 2002 after being gone for 18 years of following the money trail in the heavy construction biz. The last place I lived was on Roanoke Island on the outerbanks of NC. Now that was the life! Living on the Atlantic Ocean, going fishin' nearly every day, 4 wheelin' on the beaches and eatin' all the seafood I could catch. So why did I leave?, you ask. Well, all good things must come to an end or so I hear. But after layin' in the ICU and starin' the grim reaper in the eyes,, , ,I figured it was time to come back home and regroup. So. Here I am. Still alive and well! The last few years have been very good to me! I have made some very good friends in here & I'm sure many of them will endure the test of time.
