SHANNA THE SINGER

About Me

Shanna decided to be a professional singer at the tender age of 12. Her parents helped her to find her first manager. UGR management (Under Ground Railroad Management) owned and operated by Brian and Angela Willis. They took Shanna to her first big concert with artists such as Bobby Brown, TLC, Shaba Ranks, and Mary J. Blidge. She entered a talent contest during the show. She won undeniably singing Whitney Houston’s rendition of “I Will Always Love You”. It just so happened Whitney Houston was present and heard her singing the song; Realizing it was not the record playing ‘Houston’ wanted to meet the individual singing the song. And it was the awesome voice of the 13 year old Shanna she came to know. ‘Houston’ bought out UGR Management and signed Shanna to a management contract. Shanna went on to debut on the “Waiting to Exhale” Soundtrack; Track 15, all vocals by Shanna, produced by Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. She signed a deal with Houston’s record label Better Place Records distributed thru Elektra Music Group. The record was created but unfortunately never distributed...
