Born in Roxbury (Mission Hill), Massachusetts, Versatyle has spent his life bouncing between the streets of Boston, MA and the backwoods of the dirty south (Pembroke, GA). Verse began rapping and writing as a means of stress release. His flow delivery was recognized by many as fire but he eventually found himself defending his lyrical skills as a city kid in the south. Forced to adapt to many different situations and subject matters, he has been able to cater to audiences of any type. Performing now for more than a decade, the name Versatyle has only been with him for approximately a year and was chosen because it identifies with his character and varying styles of lyrical delivery. Verse has been the opening act at a number of concerts such as; Busta Rhymes, The Roots Crew, and Mos Def. He has performed at numerous colleges, clubs and music festivals blanketing the entire North East. Although Verse doesn't claim to be a battle rapper, he has yet to take a loss..."I will battle a cat in a heartbeat if I find it a beneficial situation, but I don't battle catz just to pull the next MC down...show me the paper homie."
