April Monet is exactly what her name implies...new and refreshing with a touch of class. Born on October 28, 1985, April Monet Griffin was called early to a life devoted to Christ. In August of 2000, April received the gift of the Holy Ghost and began taking her faith walk. Ever since then it has been a journey filled with purpose driven goals and faith filled determination to reach and receive everything the Lord has for her.
April Monet is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and actress. She began writing at the age of 15 and now with a roster that includes over 200 original songs ranging from R&B style to hip hop to acoustic soul to rock sounding melodies (all with Christ-centered messages), April Monet is ready to take her ministry to the world. "I know the Lord has blessed me with an awesome gift in music along with the spiritual gifts He has blessed me with.What better way to show my appreciation than to be a blessing to God and His people?!"
April Monet has been recording since the age of 17, mainly singing hooks and back up for other local artists such as:The Legacy, GodSword, Da Blood, God's Gang, Soundman, Psalmist, Impact and many others. "I have been so blessed to experience so much favor with the people of God and I believe that since I have sown into so many different ministries, the Lord has a great harvest for me to reap!"
April Monet is currently working on a promotional cd that will consist of 3-5 original songs that will officially introduce her to the world. Also, she is working on perfecting her live-sound music ministry with various musicians and singers.
Also, while working in her own ministry, she is a faithful member of New Life Church Ministries (Bishop Gus Swain, Jr.). She has also been featured in 2 gospel stageplays: "22nd Street" and "Destiny" (Final Cast Productions) and will also be featured in a gospel screenplay entitled "Trashpicker" (Pavrette Productions).
April Monet is simply a living testimony for what the Lord can do if you just let Him have His way in your life. "I'm so excited and elated that the Lord has called me to do great things in His kingdom...look out devil, here I come!"
