With his foreign sounding artist name, you would believe that Jack is English or American. Born in Marseille the july 29th 1973, from Corsica, Jack Ollins started his carrier as a DJ in 1994. No one thought this clever student in chartered accountant, would pursue a carrier as a DJ. Little by little music got to him, and eventually it became an incontestable passion. At such point that he creates in 2004 its own vinyl store to make share its passion.Jack Ollins takes part in this young self-made generation who kept the Acid-house boom in their souls. This electronic revolution won’t leave him indifferent.He is influenced by his path ( NYC, London, Berlin, Paris,….) as well as his meetings with various musicians and DJs.He quickly got a personal style that turned him into one of the leading French Dj’s. Jack Ollins has strongly contributed to the revival of the electro and minimal techno sound in Marseille in inviting for the first time a great deal of internationals artists like Richie Hawtin, Misc., James Holden, Fairmont aka Jake Fairley, Pascal FEOS, Metope, Darren Emerson, Johannes Heil,…with which he will keep friendly contacts.Jack Ollins gives everything when he is engaged to mix. His greatest pleasure is to be in harmony with his audience, and give them joy.He believes that “music is a fundamental element in everyday life, because it can make you laugh or cry. Personally, when I mix I pursue sharing the pleasure that music gives me, creating emotions, and sometimes I risk to surprise my audience, to make them discover something new, without forgetting the .. make people dance! And why not shouting a bit from time to time? Jack Ollins’s is hard to describe because his sets are very various, coloured, warm and most importantly very groove. This mix of styles (Detroit House and Techno, German electro and minimal, Chicago Acid House) gives the audience a feeling of progression, acceleration and slowing down.
