Born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He, his brother, and his mother moved to Wisconsin in the wake of a devastating divorce. At a young age, Siah wrote poetry to express his feelings toward life, with his mother and the RYLA (Racine Youth Leadership Academy) polishing his skills at annual Oratoracle Contests. In all six he entered, he got either first, or second place. His uncle (Shaheed Ghani II, deceased) influenced him to start rapping at the age of 12, he told him to make up a rap about why I'm in here (correctional facility), it has been a wrap for the game ever since. He wrote everyday from then on out. He honed his skills in any way, from freestyling against then rival (Jesse Price II aka Ender K. Nova), to making songs on cassette tapes with his uncle (Henry "Hennasee" Samuels jr.)
He finally released his first cd in 2003 by the name of "Pretty Thug 69", which he sold an amazing 150 copies in his high school the first two days. Though the album received a minor buzz at his high school (Washington Park High), he was not satisfied with the outcome. He continued to grind, and started producing on "Fruity Loops 3" because there was a shortage of beats in Racine. In 2005, He released his second solo album, "Grand Finale" which was a farewell cd to his high school. It sold 250 copies the first week, with a steady 30 going the next three.
Siah then decided that for college he would not stay in Wisconsin, partly because there wasn't a lot of music opportunities there. He decided to go to Florida, and attend Florida A&M University, study marketing, and continue to grind out musically. In late 2005, He hooked up with the groups Foundation (Poechry, Mario "Yung Capp" Otkins, and Gary "G-Dirty" Watson) and the Embassy, because all were pursuing the same interests....Taking over the city (Tallahassee, FL). Foundation released an album in spring of 2006 entitled "On the Ladder", and sold a number of albums before releasing the exclusive "Fuck Haters Pt. 1" mixtape. The school newspaper (The Famuan) graded the album with a "B", the highest grade any local artist has ever received. Foundation still runs today, but unfortunately, The Embassy crumbled...
Following up to his third studio album, in early 2007 Siah released yet another solo album called "Graffiti" in which he used the influences of all encounters he has dealt with in his life, summed up in a work of art. It has sold 1300 to date. He has now teamed up with Mixture and Melee of Knight-Time Productions, and after doing just 1 song together, both sides decided that the chemistry was too good for them not to be affiliated. Siah now appears on the studio mixtape "007: The world is not Enough" as an introduction to others that Knight-Time Productions is his home. Be on the look out: new mixtape coming September '07 and a new album Spring '08!!!!!
