"Love you, Jess! WELCOME HOME, BABY!!! XOXOXOXOXO"
In the mood for new music?
There are some very cool NEW bands in my friends list worth listening to:
Gideon Scorch ROCKS! Wicked Soul blows me away....of course it's in my playlist!
Grand Central is an alternative band out of the UK--I adore them! They've got a tune in my playlist, more great stuff on their page! The remind me A LOT of Smashing Pumpkins :D
Just added Pearly White--a terrific rocker out of Sweden! "Wanna Be" is just one of many great songs on his page, I really dig it and it's in my playlist :)
S-Pomp is a hip-hop/alternative artist out of Ohio! "Reality Check" is my current fave of his, it's in my playlist :) Check it out!
Listen to BaTTEY--Their song "Lost" is freakin' wild-it's in my playlist! More great songs on their page!
Check out High n Mighty-a jam band out of New Jersey. Great tunes like "Fog" and "Leaves" will keep you coming back!
My profile is in a definite need of an update--I'm hoping to get it done in the next couple of months!;)
Currently on my mind:
Jess is back from Iraq!!!! YEAH!!!! He gets to come home in June---can't wait!!!!!!
Ed will be going to Afghanistan sometime between now and Oct. '09!! He re-enlisted for 6 years-He's a soldier in the Army National Guard! ED MOVED BACK HOME!!! YAYYYYYYY
I am extremely proud of my sons! You should be, too!
Amber's got a lot going on...her Sr. Prom was fantastic, I've got her prom pictures uploaded here (gorgeous as always)! She won an academic award May 15th! She graduated the 27th, we're so very proud of her! Yeah, baby, you did it! :)
Where does the time go?!!!!
I can say without any hesitation: there is no prouder mom on earth than I!!
Want ink? If you're on the East Coast (mid-atlantic area) THE BEST PLACE to go for a new tattoo is Underground Tattoo! Wayne is an amazing artist-he did both of my wrist bracelet tattoos as well as the one on my neck-I've had them 14 years and they're not even faded ;) He also did my daughter's first tattoo! :)They're located in Southern Maryland! Don't even consider going anywhere else!
Miss you, Johnny............
Want to know more? Okay....here goes: My family is first and foremost with me, my kids are my LIFE. I have a lot of friends and several very close friends and one very best friend, and I treasure all of them. In this life if you can count your friends and need more than one hand, you're damn lucky. Run out of room on both hands and you're blessed! Never forget the people that matter in your life: I never miss an opportunity to tell those important to me HOW MUCH I TREASURE THEM and HOW MUCH I LOVE THEM. Don't assume we have tomorrow, because the only thing certain is that we've got this moment, right now. My brothers Albert and Doran and my sister Jules are AWESOME! I am blessed with such a loving family!
Unfortunately, as much as I dig music, myspace only allows me to have 40 top friends, so there's no way I can fit all of my favorite bands in. If you check out my "Music" category, they're all there! As of Jan 26, 09-I've added even more! All of them are worth a listen! Do yourself a favor and visit "The Kayas", "Black Beauty", and "Small Time Crooks"-both their regular and acoustical sites! I'm the #1 fan! of all three! I've a video of "Black Beauty"'s rendition of the White Stripes "Sister Do You Know My Name?" in my blog; Small Time Crooks' "Weigh it Up" and "Say Goodbye" videos are posted on my profile, The Kayas tune "Chavtastic" is still one of my favorite tunes, gotta listen to it at least once a day :)
Other bands and artists I'm digging: Rob Zombie, who I think has amazing vision even though he's far out (nothing wrong with that, either :); The Rolling Stones; Dwight Yoakam; Deadhead Dylan and the Desolation Doors; The Doors; David Bowie; Void 808; SPI; 286; Unfamiliar Occurence; Bri ; The River Daughter; Argyle Denial; Pillow Theory; My cuz Jon's bands Feinwood (jamgrass),Major Dude (psychedelic rock) and Psycho Killers (Talking Heads tribute band)-you can catch Jon's bands in Baltimore; and of course, I'm still a Don McCullen, Ian Newbill, Amy Winehouse, The Gababeat, Pete Francis, Sublime, White Stripes/Raconteurs, Blur, John Lennon, George Harrison, Johnny Cash junkie! (If I missed mentioning ya, it's a dumb oversight and I'll catch it when I'm not so preoccupied, I promise!)
Dawn's Highway, by The Doors ..
* 'How do I stack up against Phil...ya know, where it counts?' *Sorry, had to add that last part in to make my babyluv smile :D
I MISS YOU, DAD <3
