Sponsored by Skullsessions Studios, the Houston Heavy Hitters Club is a collaborative effort which includes more than 30 Houston musicians from more than 15 different bands in the Houston Rock Scene.
Our goal? Take these musicians and create at least 5 “super-groups†which will write 2 original songs each and produce a 10 song album of some of the finest rock music – by some of the finest rock musicians in Houston.
The catch is....each group has only 8 hours to write, and 8 hours to record the music - and an additional 6 hours to do the vocals! There are 6 musicians in each group, none of them from the same band, none of them have any idea who they are playing with until they show up, and they have a deadline! This is CRAZY!!
Skullsessions Studios has chosen the players from our local scene and is donating the studio time it takes to write, record, mix, and master this album.
Tracking began early February 2007. The album is slated for local release summer 2007.
