I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

If you're looking from Merrick from Aint it Cool News, you've found me! I'm 39 years old, and have two children (which should nicely dispel AICN Talkbacker's insistence that I'm a virgin).I've been an unapologetic Geek all my life. Growing up, I worshiped nearly anything having to do with Science Fiction/adventure on the big or small screens. I can remember the network of nearly any TV show I watched, and can vividly recall the specific theaters in which I've seen any movie I've seen...this stuff makes THAT kind of imprint on me.I've been an Internet journalist for over ten years; my writing has also appeared in several magazines (predominantly overseas) under my "real" name. I've also been heard on radio broadcasts under my real identity & done some public speaking.I'm a script writer with several projects currently making the rounds.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

King Arthur. Galileo. da Vinci. Nostradamus. An ancient human (i.e. a "caveman"). Carl Sagan. A dinosaur (preferably a big one). Jesus Christ. The Beatles (just as they were hitting the States). Stephen Hawking. Steve Irwin (one of my children is partially named after him). An executive who wants to buy one of my scripts. As a side note, I met Gene Roddenberry when I was about seven years old - it changed my life. He asked me if I would like to come to L.A. to watch them film (what was then) the first episode of a new STAR TREK television series. My parents never followed up on this...one of the greatest regrets of my life.
