When you're young, your whole life is about the pursuit of fun. Then, you grow up and learn to be cautious. You could break a bone or a heart. You look before you leap and sometimes you don't leap at all because there's not always someone there to catch you. And in life, there's no safety net. When did it stop being fun and start being scary? I've grown up in Birmingham, Alabama my whole life. I am the youngest of four girls. Yeah, I was spoiled. In fact, I think I still am! I am currently attending UAB as a junior, pursuing a degree in Pharmacy. Hopefully this fall, I will be going to either Samford or Auburn. I am keeping my fingers crossed! I have been a pharmacy technician for 4 years. I love what I do and look forward to doing it for the rest of my life. Unfortunately, I am an over-analyzer which causes me to worry about everything. But really, I'm just a simple girl at heart who loves to laugh until I cry. I am very sarcastic...always joking around. Therefore, most people do not know when to take me seriously.If having things turn out the way you wanted them to is a measure of a successful life then some would say I was a failure. The important thing is not to be bitter over life's disappointments. I am scared of making mistakes. I am scared to stumble and fall, but most of the time the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe I will get everything I wish for, maybe I will get more than I could ever imagine. Who knows where life will take me. The road is long, and in the end the journey is the destination.
Here lately, I've been thinking a lot about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you find someone to love the you that you love, well, that's just fabulous. I've only told one person in my entire life that I loved them. Looking back on it now, I don't think I really knew what love was. So, I'm looking for love. Real love. Ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can't-live-without-each-other love. I'd like to think that people have more than one soulmate. I cannot wait to find mine. ---"When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible." I'm looking for that guy who makes me smile. I know that when I do find him, it will be worth the wait. But can you get to your future if your past is present? Maybe the past is like an anchor holding us back. Maybe, you have to let go of who you are to become who you will be.
