Those who know me well enough understand my sometimes unorthidox way of doing things. Others might be shocked by some of the decisions I've made in my life. All in all, I make no apologies for who I am. If there's one thing I've learned about life it's that we choose our own destinies, regardless of the hand delt us by fate. We always have a choice, and with that choice comes circumstances. Life, being the game of chances that it is, becons us to take risks and dares us to move beyond our comfort zone.

I know that true friends aren't really friends at all, but rather family in disguise. I understand that true wisdom comes from the lessons learned by the mistakes I've made. I realize how incredibly lucky I am to be able to call this great land home. I am so very thankful for our service men and women and the veterans for their service to our country.

I work hard and focus on reaching my goals, but I don't forget to stop and smell the proverbial roses along the way, nor am I afraid of letting my hair down once in a while. I think that life is an occasion that should be enjoyed to the absolute fullest, regardless of our position in society or others' opinion on who we are (or who they think we are). I think each new day should be celebrated as if it was our last, because one day it will be.
