Stringed Migration

Stringed Migration is a Portland, OR, based quartet that performs a lush concoction of Celtic-flavored world music with a twist of jazz. The band features an accomplished cast of multi-instrumentalists whose diverse backgrounds touch upon Latin music, Balkan music, Americana, rock, Mediæval music, Indian music, classical music and jazz, but all have firm roots in traditional Irish and Scottish fare. The result is a Celtic ensemble that pays homage to the American melting pot, whose performances reveal technical mastery, nuance, spontaneity, and heart.
